Some of the distinguished features of MSRIT are State-of-the-art laboratories, individual computing facility for all faculty members, all research departments active with sponsored funded
projects and more than 300 scholars pursuing Ph.D. To promote research culture, the institute has established the Centre of Excellence for Imaging Technologies, Centre for Advanced Materials Technology (CAMT), the Centre for Antennas and Radio Frequency Systems (CARFS), Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems (CCPS) & the Schneider Centre of Excellence. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Section 8 company “Ramaiah Evolute” have been set up on campus to incubate start-ups. MSRIT has a strong Placement and Training department with a committed team, a good Mentoring/Proctorial system, a fully equipped Sports department, and a large air-conditioned library with a good collection of book volumes and subscriptions to International and National Journals. King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB)

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) is a leading technological university in Thailand. The predecessor of KMUTNB, called Thai-German Technical School, was established as a partnership between the Federal Republic of Germany and Thai Governments in 1959. Since then, the institutions have followed German standards and higher education structures. Later in 1964, the school was upgraded to “North Bangkok Technical College”. In 1971, three technical colleges: North Bangkok Technical College, Thonburi Technical College, and Telecommunication College Nonthaburi were merged and given a new name “King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology” which comprised three campuses, North Bangkok, Thonburi, and Ladkrabang. Later in 1986, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology was separated into three autonomous universities namely: King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology North Bangkok, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and King Mongkut’s
Institute of Technology Thonburi. In 2007, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology North Bangkok was renamed as “King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok” and became an autonomous state university. After half a century of transformation, KMUTNB consists of three main campuses, which cover over 200 hectares of land. They are located in Thailand’s capital Bangkok, famous for its vibrant cultural life; Prachinburi, a small city in northeast Thailand; and Rayong, a
town located in the heart of Thai agricultural and Eastern seaboard industrial zone. With a focus on engineering and applied sciences, the university strives to encourage innovation in science and its application in industry. The institute is organised into 12 faculties including the faculty of industrial education, faculty of technology and industrial management, faculty of information technology, faculty of applied sciences, faculty of engineering, faculty of applied arts, faculty of agro-industry, college of industrial technology, graduate school, international college and so on. Students have the chance to pursue a variety of degrees at all educational levels from pre-engineering, bachelor, master’s to doctorate. At this moment, KMUTNB has two international institutes namely the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS) and the Thai-French Innovation Institute (TFII). These institutes host some of the world’s most up-to-date scientific and technological research laboratories and have produced a great amount of manpower. All programmes are taught in English, which makes them easily accessible for foreign students. KMUTNB has gradually assimilated the German system of education, which is to produce highly qualified science and technology-oriented professionals fashioned for industrial services, and also some of the finest researchers in the Southeast Asian region. KMUTNB has strong academic cooperation with Universities in Germany, France, Japan, USA, India, China and many. In 2007, to achieve flexibility in management and to support the expansion of the university’s research, the University Council established an office of “Scientific and Technological Research Institute (STRI)” to be responsible for research policies as well as being a center for research activities of the university.
